BACH'S ART OF THE FUGUE WITH THE ORION STRING QUARTET
The Orion String Quartet, who the Washington Post says "perform with commitment and striking intelligence," joins the five members of Windscape in a program of Samuel Baron's transcription of Bach's Art of the Fugue for string quartet and wind quintet. Program options include a full-length program featuring the entire Art of the Fugue, or selections of Bach coupled with a string quartet and a wind quintet. The special bond among these players "highlight[s] the inner workings of the pieces while clothing them in beguiling instrumental colors...that invited listeners in."
